How did IPTV come into existence? Due to innovations in high-speed broadband Internet and computer technology, it’s now possible for you to record videos on your computer, hand held recorder, smartphone, or computer and quickly upload it to a content delivery network. For the end user, it’s so much easier these days to view high quality streamed content on their computer, television, or mobile device. With more powerful and less expensive computers and now widespread availability of high speed Internet, everyone can afford to have streaming content pretty much wherever they go.

What is IPTV?

Internet Protocol television (IPTV) is a system through which television services are delivered using the Internet protocol suite over a packet-switched network such as a LAN or the Internet, instead of being delivered through traditional terrestrial, satellite signal, and cable television formats.

Unlike downloaded media, IPTV offers the ability to stream the media in smaller batches, directly from the source. As a result, a client media player can begin playing the data (such as a movie) before the entire file has been transmitted. This is known as streaming media.

IPTV services may be classified into three main groups:

Live television, with or without interactivity related to the current TV show;

Time-shifted television: catch-up TV (replays a TV show that was broadcast hours or days ago), start-over TV (replays the current TV show from its beginning);

Video on demand (VOD): browse a catalog of videos, not related to TV programming.

So What Channels can I expect to get with an IPTV system.

We Have Many Channels available and have a list at the bottom of this web page of just a few of the channels available. The IPTV service that we offer, Expat IPTV has been developed as an optional add-on to our free service. unlike some providers we still offer our full free package and have not moved anything to the paid IPTV version. So unlimited free movies, cartoons and TV shows can still be watched on demand. Our Expat IPTV system has been developed to better our already great service and delivers uninterrupted HD quality channel streams with no buffering at an affordable price.  Its also free to try, so why not give it a try to see if you are missing out on anything. Why Choose Smart TV in Spain.

Many Companies are offering UK TV Channels with an IPTV service. So why should you choose Smart TV in Spain for your service?  Here are just some of the reasons we think you should choose us.

  1. We wont overload our servers. The free live channels we offer are mainly SD steams, but are as good as some and even better than other IPTV paid services streams.  The reason we have taken 2 years to launch our IPTV service is that we realise that most free servers are getting over used. This means that some people can experience buffering when the servers that hold the TV channels get loaded and cant cope with the volume of traffic , even though they have internet speeds well above the minimum of 2mbps.
  2. Buffering is just part of the way we watch telly in Spain is how some people view it; but for others it can make them want to throw their TV sets out of the window.  Our servers have been built to deal with a certain amount of internet Traffic. To ensure we do not go over this or overload this,  We have set out a maximum number of subscriptions. (no need to panic buy) This ensures us that our servers can more than cope with traffic at heavy usage times but most importantly reduces the chances of buffering for the end user.
  3. We won't offer you silly confusing packages.  For example:  IPTV deal 1,  HD Free view channels is € xx per month but if you want sports you need to take out IPTV deal 2 at € xx per month plus there is a pro package so you need IPTV deal 3 at € xxx, They just Get all too confusing. So at Smart TV in Spain,  We only have two deals. Our standard Free Deal, which is €0 per month and is included when you purchase one of our android TV boxes,  or our HD Expat IPTV service at €17.50 per month including I.V.A . You would need to have a device to watch this on or you can purchase one of our TV boxes and add this service.
  4. No need to pay for 12 months up front,  Our Expat IPTV package can be paid monthly so there is no need to pay out for a whole years TV. Also, If you want to Skip a month, then that is fine too and we will not punish you with reconnection fees.
  5. We will not push our IPTV service on you. In Fact we advise all our new customers to try their new TV box in its free mode for a week as we feel most of our customers would not feel the need to pay €17.50 per month for an IPTV service when they would only be watching movies and UK freeview channels.
  6. Over 2000 HD channels from around the world. Our Expat IPTV package has over 2000 channels to view. this is in addition to all the free movies and TV shows that come with our standard Free package, Our Free View non subscription channel list can be found on our home page
  7. Its easy to set up and Try for free. So that our customers know what they are getting before they purchase our Expat IPTV service, we offer a 48 hour free trial.
