Smart IPTV on Samsung Smart TV

You can download the app (free test version) in the official Samsung Apps Store (Lifestyle category) in your country.

You will have 7 days to try out the Smart IPTV application with our Expat IPTV or your own IPTV service stream sources.

Loading your own playlist

Once you have the Smart IPTV app installed onto your Smart TV, you will then need to find your TV's mac address

How to get your Smart TV's Mac Address

Insignia

To locate your Insignia Smart TV wired MAC address you will have to navigate to the Network settings.

To navigate to the Network Settings follow these instructions

  1. Press ENTER. The settings menu opens. (or press Menu)
  2. Press ▲ or ▼ to highlight Network, Then press ENTER.
  3. Press ▲ or ▼ to highlight WIRED, then press ENTER. (Note that the wired MAC address and the wireless MAC address are different)
  4. The MAC address needed to register your Insignia Smart TV will be listed as either Ethernet Address or Wired MAC Address.

Samsung

To locate your Samsung Smart TV wired MAC address you will have to navigate to the Network settings.

To navigate to the Network Settings follow these instructions

  1. Press Menu.
  2. Press ▲ or ▼ to highlight Network, Then press ENTER.
  3. Press ▲ or ▼ to highlight Network Settings, Then press ENTER.
  4. Press ▲ or ▼ to highlight WIRED, then press ENTER. (Note that the wired MAC address and the wireless MAC address are different)
  5. Press ▲ or ▼ to highlight Network Test, then press ENTER.
  6. The MAC address needed to register your Samsung Smart TV will be listed as either Ethernet Address or Wired MAC Address at the top of the screen.

Sharp

To locate your Sharp Smart TV wired MAC address you will have to navigate to the Network settings.

To navigate to the Network Settings follow these instructions

  1. Press the Menu on the remote.
  2. Press  or to highlight Initial Setup, then press Enter.
  3. Press ▲ or ▼ to select Internet Setup, then press Enter.
  4. Press ▲ or ▼ to select Network Setup, then press Enter.
  5. Press ▲ or ▼ to select Connection Type, then press Enter.
  6. Press  or  to highlight WIRED, then press Enter.
  7. Press ▲ or ▼ to select IP Setup, then press Enter.
  8. The MAC Address should be on the bottom of the page.

Sony

To locate your Sony Smart TV wired MAC address you will have to navigate to the Network settings.

To navigate to the Network Settings follow these instructions

  1. Press the Home button.
  2. Use the arrow keys to scroll to Settings, then press Enter.
  3. Use the arrow keys to scroll to Network Setup, then press Enter.
  4. From the menu, select Wired Setup, then press Enter.
  5. Click on Network Setup - Status and the MAC Address should be on the screen.


Now that you have your mac address for your TV you can either send it to us and request your free trial ( please make sure that the iptv app is installed on your TV first) or If we have sent you your M3U code then you can go to the Smart IPTV website and set up your TV yourself. 

The Smart IPTV app has its own set up page ( http://siptv.eu/mylist/ ) which you can access to input your mac address and M3U code which we send. It is much easier to copy and paste the code which we send you as they are very long and case sensitive.

Loading your own playlist

By default, there is already a test playlist for you to check how the App works. After that, you can load your own IPTV playlist by following these instructions.

General Remote Control commands
  • P+/P and Arrow buttons - navigate pages, groups and channels.
  • ОК, Up/Down - bring up channel list in Play mode.
  • INFO, INFOx2 - show programme information.
  • Number Keys - direct channel selection. "0" - previous channel in Play mode.
  • BACK - hide channel list and info; go back to primary list; reload the widget.
  • EXIT - go back to widget list.
  • P.SIZE, TOOLS - change picture ratio.
  • PLAY - reload the app (in primary channel list page).
  • PAUSE - show current stream link in infobar.
  • TTX/MIX - enable 3D mode (Side-By-Side).
  • RED - change Audio track, where possible
  • GREEN, GUIDE - EPG (Electronic Programme Guide).
  • YELLOW - show digital clock in Play mode.
  • BLUE - show infobar permanently or change picture ratio (see application settings).
  • AD/SUBT - change subtitles in video (if available).
Changing audio language

Press RED button, select the language, press OK to set the language, press OK (RED, Back) again to hide the window.

Changing subtitle language (in videos)

Press AD/SUBT button, select the language, press OK to set the language, press (AD/SUBT, Back) again to hide the window.

Buffer size (Samsung F/H series only)

It's now possibile to set buffer size in app's settings for your streams in case you have frequent buffering problems. It is not guaranteed that it will help your slow connection or providers' stream issue.

Set the buffer size back to Auto to use default Samsung buffer size.


Setting User-agent property (J/JU/JS series Tizen TVs only)

You can try using User-agent property in your playlist if your provider requires it. See examples below.
